Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Curated: Hong Kong, which included the work Don't Paint Me, Black #8 by Maiko Kobayashi. The price achieved of HKD 63,000.00 (€ 7,861.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maiko Kobayashi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In Between Oneself and Others #1 in July last year with an auction result of HKD 277,200.00 (€ 34,588.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Curated: Hong Kong durch, in der auch die Arbeit Don't Paint Me, Black #8 von Maiko Kobayashi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 63.000,00 (€ 7.861,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maiko Kobayashi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit In Between Oneself and Others #1 im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 277.200,00 (€ 34.588,86).
