Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Maliheh Afnan was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Dubai in October 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 17,104.54) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Maliheh Afnan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Iranian lady With A Hat in April 2016 with an auction result of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 79,893.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Maliheh Afnan wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 17.104,54) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maliheh Afnan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Iranian lady With A Hat im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 79.893,58).
