Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Figures under a parasol) by Maqbool Fida Husain was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Online auction at Bonhams in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 12,750.00 (€ 15,225.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maqbool Fida Husain achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,082,500.00 (€ 1,526,311.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Figures under a parasol) von Maqbool Fida Husain wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Online bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.750,00 (€ 15.225,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maqbool Fida Husain erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.082.500,00 (€ 1.526.311,41).
