In November 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings Including Spanish Painting, The Orientalist Sale, and German, Austrian, Scandinavian and Symbolist Works, which included the work French santa Maria Della Salute by Marc Aldine. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,418.73), 35% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marc Aldine - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Venetian canal, which sold at auction in March 2002 for GBP 39,950.00 (€ 65,307.73).

Im November 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings Including Spanish Painting, The Orientalist Sale, and German, Austrian, Scandinavian and Symbolist Works durch, in der auch die Arbeit French santa Maria Della Salute von Marc Aldine zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 19.418,73) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Marc Aldine mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Venetian canal beobachtet, die im März 2002 für GBP 39.950,00 (€ 65.307,73) versteigert wurde.
