In April this year Christies in Paris held the auction Chagall et la Musique Oeuvres provenant de la succession de l’artiste, which included the work Le Violoneux by Marc Chagall. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 47,880.00 60% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marc Chagall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Amoureux in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 28,453,000.00 (€ 23,914,103.21).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen

Im April diesen Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Chagall et la Musique Oeuvres provenant de la succession de l’artiste durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Violoneux von Marc Chagall zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 47.880,00 und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marc Chagall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Amoureux im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.453.000,00 (€ 23.914.103,21).
