Handmade by Marc Newson at Basecraft for Pod, Australia. Unique prototype with white feet in addition to the edition of ten plus four artist’s proofs. Underside impressed with “BASECRAFT.”

In May 2010 Phillips in New York held the auction The Collection of Halsey Minor, which included the work Prototype “Lockheed Lounge” by Marc Newson. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,098,500.00 (€ 1,696,580.16), 40% above the upper estimate. Other works by Marc Newson have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 1,568,750.00 (€ 1,788,682.07) in October 2017 for the work A Lockheed Lounge.

Im Mai 2010 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion The Collection of Halsey Minor durch, in der auch die Arbeit Prototype “Lockheed Lounge” von Marc Newson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.098.500,00 (€ 1.696.580,16) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Marc Newson haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.568.750,00 (€ 1.788.682,07) im Oktober 2017 für die Arbeit A Lockheed Lounge beobachtet.
