Auction result misses estimated price range

This work of art by Marcos Grigorian could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in June last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Marcos Grigorian UnearthedWorks from the Artist's Estate auction, the work Antichi Tempi (Ancient Times) changed hands for USD 8,925.00 (€ 8,525.17) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcos Grigorian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Horizontal & Vertical Earthwork each panel 188 x 188 cm in June last year with an auction result of USD 315,375.00 (€ 301,246.54).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Dieses Kunstwerk von Marcos Grigorian konnte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Marcos Grigorian UnearthedWorks from the Artist's Estate wechselte die Arbeit Antichi Tempi (Ancient Times) für USD 8.925,00 (€ 8.525,17) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcos Grigorian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Horizontal & Vertical Earthwork each panel 188 x 188 cm im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 315.375,00 (€ 301.246,54).
