Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Ship on a stormy sea by Marcus Larsson was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in June 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 40,000.00 – 50,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 38,000.00 (€ 4,149.74). Admittedly, works by Marcus Larsson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sunset by the coast in December 2015 with an auction result of SEK 270,000.00 (€ 29,414.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Ship on a stormy sea von Marcus Larsson im Juni 2014 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 40.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 38.000,00 (€ 4.149,74) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marcus Larsson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sunset by the coast im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 270.000,00 (€ 29.414,31).
