Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A game of draughts by Maria Martinetti was sold in the Orientalist Art auction at Bonhams in London in October 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,937.50 (€ 7,703.50) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maria Martinetti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Gift, which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,391.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A game of draughts von Maria Martinetti wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Orientalist Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.937,50 (€ 7.703,50) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Maria Martinetti mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Gift beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für GBP 18.900,00 (€ 22.391,40) versteigert wurde.
