Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Mario Cortiello could be acquired at Il Ponte in June 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Arredi, Oggetti d'Arte e Dipinti provenienti da Dimore Milanesi, Genovesi ed Emiliane | Libri antichi e rari, Incisioni e Gouaches auction, the work San Sebastiano al Vesuvio changed hands for EUR 600.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 700.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mario Cortiello - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nella villa, which sold at auction in November 2005 for EUR 1,984.00.

In der Auktion Arredi, Oggetti d'Arte e Dipinti provenienti da Dimore Milanesi, Genovesi ed Emiliane | Libri antichi e rari, Incisioni e Gouaches wechselte die Arbeit San Sebastiano al Vesuvio für EUR 600,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 700,00 – 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mario Cortiello mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nella villa beobachtet, die im November 2005 für EUR 1.984,00 versteigert wurde.
