Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Think tank auto pilot by Mark Kostabi was sold in the Contemporary and Modern Art auction at Christies in Milan in November 2010. The price achieved of EUR 4,550.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mark Kostabi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Accumulation in June 2007 with an auction result of USD 28,800.00 (€ 21,301.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Think tank auto pilot von Mark Kostabi wurde im November 2010 in der Auktion Contemporary and Modern Art bei Christies in Mailand versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.550,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mark Kostabi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Accumulation im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.800,00 (€ 21.301,78).
