Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2008 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Photography: Jean Albou Collection, which included the work First Lady (Pat Nixon), 1967-1972 by Martha Rosler. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,718.00 24% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martha Rosler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bringing The War Home: House Beautiful in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 156,000.00 (€ 121,561.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2008 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Photography: Jean Albou Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit First Lady (Pat Nixon), 1967-1972 von Martha Rosler zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.718,00 und damit 24% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Martha Rosler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bringing The War Home: House Beautiful im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 156.000,00 (€ 121.561,60).
