Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Obscurité Profonde (Deep Darkness) by Marthe Wéry for EUR 6,875.00. This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art: Amsterdam at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Marthe Wéry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2016 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 36,205.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Obscurité Profonde (Deep Darkness) von Marthe Wéry für EUR 6.875,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art: Amsterdam bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marthe Wéry auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 36.205,98).
