Auction result well in line with expectations

In December this year Bonhams in London held the auction City LightsThe Martin Lewis Sale, which included the work At the Wall by Martin Lewis. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,211.77) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martin Lewis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Snowstorm, Danbury, Connecticut and Study for 'Snowstorm, Danbury, Connecticut': A Pair of Works in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 47,276.85).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion City LightsThe Martin Lewis Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit At the Wall von Martin Lewis zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.920,00 (€ 2.211,77) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Martin Lewis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Snowstorm, Danbury, Connecticut and Study for 'Snowstorm, Danbury, Connecticut': A Pair of Works im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 47.276,85).
