Auction result misses estimated price range

In December this year a collector was able to acquire the work Yorkville Night by Martin Lewis for GBP 14,080.00 (€ 16,219.62). This price was achieved in the auction City LightsThe Martin Lewis Sale at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martin Lewis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Snowstorm, Danbury, Connecticut and Study for 'Snowstorm, Danbury, Connecticut': A Pair of Works, which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 56,250.00 (€ 47,276.85).
