Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Masood A. Khan was auctioned at Bonhams in London in July last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 500.00 – 1,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 57.38 (€ 68.52). Admittedly, works by Masood A. Khan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May last year with an auction result of GBP 318.75 (€ 374.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Masood A. Khan im Juli letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 57,38 (€ 68,52) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Masood A. Khan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 318,75 (€ 374,98).
