Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of AUD 1,175.00 (€ 599.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matthew James Macnally - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sylvan Glade, which sold at auction in November 2003 for AUD 3,525.00 (€ 2,126.46).
