This artwork by Matthew Lindop achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September last year. In the Christie's London Staff Auction auction, the work A Homage to Hirst, 2022 sold for GBP 756.00 (€ 860.40) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 400.00. Admittedly, works by Matthew Lindop have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Piccadilly Circus no. 38 in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,689.23).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 89 % übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Matthew Lindop erzielte im September letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christie's London Staff Auction wurde die Arbeit A Homage to Hirst, 2022 für GBP 756,00 (€ 860,40) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 400,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Matthew Lindop auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Piccadilly Circus no. 38 im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.689,23).
