Auction result misses estimated price range
In November this year a collector was able to acquire the work Tubutama, Sonora Mexican Landscape sight 12 1/2 x 18 1/2 in. framed 24 x 30 in. by Maurice Logan for USD 409.60 (€ 375.50). This price was achieved in the auction California and Western Art Online at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurice Logan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a Japanese Woman in an Iris Garden in August 2021 with an auction result of USD 181,562.00 (€ 153,866.10).

Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion California and Western Art Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maurice Logan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of a Japanese Woman in an Iris Garden im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 181.562,00 (€ 153.866,10).
