Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vue de Paris by Maxa Nordau was sold in the Ecole de Paris 1905-1939, The Jewish Artists auction at Bonhams in London in March 2021. The price achieved of GBP 1,275.00 (€ 1,497.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maxa Nordau - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Souvenir De Jerusalem, which sold at auction in March 2011 for EUR 5,100.00.

Die Arbeit Vue de Paris von Maxa Nordau wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Ecole de Paris 1905-1939, The Jewish Artists bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.275,00 (€ 1.497,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Maxa Nordau mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Souvenir De Jerusalem beobachtet, die im März 2011 für EUR 5.100,00 versteigert wurde.
