This artwork by Maxime Maufra achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in November 2020. In the True Connoisseurship: The Collection of Ezra & Cecile Zilkha auction, the work Retour De Pêche, Pont-Aven sold for USD 16,380.00 (€ 13,709.41) - well above the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maxime Maufra achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Vent in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 266,500.00 (€ 198,097.08).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Maxime Maufra erzielte im November 2020 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion True Connoisseurship: The Collection of Ezra & Cecile Zilkha wurde die Arbeit Retour De Pêche, Pont-Aven für USD 16.380,00 (€ 13.709,41) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 9.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maxime Maufra erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Vent im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 266.500,00 (€ 198.097,08).
