Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Chiquita Banana - 2007 by Mel Ramos for EUR 119,600.00. This price was achieved in the auction Scène 21.2 at Artcurial and was even below the estimate range of EUR 120,000.00 – 150,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mel Ramos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A.C. Annie in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 1,071,650.00 (€ 1,335,228.75).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Chiquita Banana - 2007 von Mel Ramos für EUR 119.600,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Scène 21.2 bei Artcurial erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 120.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mel Ramos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A.C. Annie im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.071.650,00 (€ 1.335.228,75).
