Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Guanyin by Mi Gengyun. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,157.68). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mi Gengyun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lotus And Bird, which sold at auction in November 2013 for HKD 500,000.00 (€ 47,405.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Guanyin von Mi Gengyun zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.157,68) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Mi Gengyun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lotus And Bird beobachtet, die im November 2013 für HKD 500.000,00 (€ 47.405,56) versteigert wurde.
