Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Siren by Michael Ayrton was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in July this year. The price achieved of GBP 2,816.00 (€ 3,285.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Ayrton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Arkville Minotaur in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 205,875.00 (€ 235,248.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Siren von Michael Ayrton wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.816,00 (€ 3.285,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Ayrton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Arkville Minotaur im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 205.875,00 (€ 235.248,07).
