Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Chukka by Michael Jackson was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,297.64). Other works by Michael Jackson have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2000 by the work Peacock at GBP 3,760.00 (€ 6,145.57).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Chukka von Michael Jackson im Mai 2007 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.297,64) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Michael Jackson wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im November 2000 die Arbeit Peacock mit GBP 3.760,00 (€ 6.145,57).
