Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Young Girl Listening To A Conversation Between Two Lovers by Michel Garnier was sold in the Old Master Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in June 2013. It achieved a price of USD 185,000.00 (€ 142,198.31), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 23%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michel Garnier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Jeune Musicienne, which sold at auction in April 2014 for EUR 361,500.00.

Die Arbeit Young Girl Listening To A Conversation Between Two Lovers von Michel Garnier wurde im Juni 2013 in der Auktion Old Master Paintings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 185.000,00 (€ 142.198,31) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 23%. Für andere Arbeiten von Michel Garnier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Jeune Musicienne beobachtet, die im April 2014 für EUR 361.500,00 versteigert wurde.
