Despite a disappointment, a good price for Michelangelo Meucci
When the work Hanging Fowl with Pomegranate; Hanging Fowl with Cherries by Michelangelo Meucci was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2003, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 5,975.00 (€ 5,481.65). Despite this disappointing result, Hanging Fowl with Pomegranate; Hanging Fowl with Cherries is the most expensive artwork by Michelangelo Meucci that we have observed at auction so far.

Als die Arbeit Hanging Fowl with Pomegranate; Hanging Fowl with Cherries von Michelangelo Meucci im März 2003 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
