Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Time Square by Mohamed Melehi was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Dubai in October 2015. The price achieved of USD 43,750.00 (€ 39,621.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 35,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mohamed Melehi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Blacks in March 2020 with an auction result of GBP 399,000.00 (€ 450,552.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Time Square von Mohamed Melehi wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 39.621,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 35.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mohamed Melehi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Blacks im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 399.000,00 (€ 450.552,72).
