A top price for Moris - as previously expected
In November 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Mexico Contemporary, which included the work 26 De Mayo, 2009 by Moris. The price achieved of USD 11,875.00 (€ 9,547.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, 26 De Mayo, 2009 is the most expensive artwork by Moris that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im November 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Mexico Contemporary durch, in der auch die Arbeit 26 De Mayo, 2009 von Moris zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 9.547,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist 26 De Mayo, 2009 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Moris, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
