In December 2007 Christies in London held the auction Portrait Miniatures, Objects of Vertu, Silver & Russian Works of Art, which included the work Unknown by Moritz Michael Daffinger. The result of GBP 500.00 (€ 679.42) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Moritz Michael Daffinger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A highly important miniature of Countess Elisaveta Ksaver'evna Vorontsova (1792-1880), leaning on her left elbow resting on multi-coloured cashemere stoles, her hand raised to her face, in brown dress with lace underdress and lace sleeves, jewelled s in December 2003 with an auction result of GBP 50,190.00

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 500,00 (€ 679,42) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00.
