In May this year Christies in London held the auction Post-Millennium Evening Sale, which included the work Doodle VIII by Mr. Doodle. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 655,200.00 (€ 78,532.98), 31% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Mr. Doodle have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Big Kitty in April last year with an auction result of HKD 6,300,000.00 (€ 761,715.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 31 % übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-Millennium Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Doodle VIII von Mr. Doodle zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 655.200,00 (€ 78.532,98) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mr. Doodle auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Big Kitty im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.300.000,00 (€ 761.715,86).
