This artwork by Mr. Doodle achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in May last year. In the Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work without title sold for HKD 292,800.00 (€ 34,761.64) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mr. Doodle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Big Kitty in April last year with an auction result of HKD 6,300,000.00 (€ 761,715.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 95 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mr. Doodle erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 292.800,00 (€ 34.761,64) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mr. Doodle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Big Kitty im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.300.000,00 (€ 761.715,86).
