Despite a disappointment, a good price for Naondo Nakamura
This work of art by Naondo Nakamura could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2000 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Japanese and Korean Art auction, the work Figure in red changed hands for USD 3,680.00 (€ 3,843.74) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Figure in red is the most expensive artwork by Naondo Nakamura that we have observed at auction so far.
