Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Wave by Nasrollah Afjehei was auctioned at Christies in Dubai in April 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 74,500.00 (€ 56,315.67). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nasrollah Afjehei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wave, which sold at auction in April 2011 for USD 218,500.00 (€ 147,425.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Wave von Nasrollah Afjehei im April 2012 bei Christies in Dubai versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 74.500,00 (€ 56.315,67) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Nasrollah Afjehei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wave beobachtet, die im April 2011 für USD 218.500,00 (€ 147.425,95) versteigert wurde.
