The work Study For Outcropping by Neil Welliver was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2020. The price achieved of USD 11,340.00 (€ 9,677.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Neil Welliver have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Anonymous Freshet in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 53,125.00 (€ 49,460.01).

Die Arbeit Study For Outcropping von Neil Welliver wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.340,00 (€ 9.677,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Neil Welliver auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Anonymous Freshet im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 53.125,00 (€ 49.460,01).
