Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work A Garland Of Flowers Surrounding A Cartouche With The Virgin And Child by Nicolaes van Verendael for EUR 4,250.00. This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings Sale at Sothebys in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolaes van Verendael achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blumenstrauß mit Rosen, Tulpe, Hibiskus und Brombeeren in November 2018 with an auction result of EUR 362,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Garland Of Flowers Surrounding A Cartouche With The Virgin And Child von Nicolaes van Verendael für EUR 4.250,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Paintings Sale bei Sothebys in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolaes van Verendael erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blumenstrauß mit Rosen, Tulpe, Hibiskus und Brombeeren im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 362.500,00.
