Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work Vanitas Still Life With Flowers, A Skull, Hourglass, Conch Shell And Silver Jug On A Partially Draped Table by Nicolaes van Verendael. The price achieved of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 80,379.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nicolaes van Verendael have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blumenstrauß mit Rosen, Tulpe, Hibiskus und Brombeeren in November 2018 with an auction result of EUR 362,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vanitas Still Life With Flowers, A Skull, Hourglass, Conch Shell And Silver Jug On A Partially Draped Table von Nicolaes van Verendael zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 80.379,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicolaes van Verendael auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Blumenstrauß mit Rosen, Tulpe, Hibiskus und Brombeeren im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 362.500,00.
