Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Swedish Gräshoppan (The Grasshopper) by Nils Dardel was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 250,000.00 – 350,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 242,500.00 (€ 298,040.32). Admittedly, works by Nils Dardel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "The waterfall" in October 2012 with an auction result of SEK 21,000,000.00 (€ 2,442,275.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Swedish Gräshoppan (The Grasshopper) von Nils Dardel im Mai 2014 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 242.500,00 (€ 298.040,32) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nils Dardel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "The waterfall" im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 21.000.000,00 (€ 2.442.275,04).
