Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Somedays N°3, 2002 by Wang Ningde was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in October 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 3,825.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Ningde - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Some Days No. 5 & 25, which sold at auction in September 2008 for USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,315.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Somedays N°3, 2002 von Wang Ningde im Oktober 2009 bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 3.825,00 den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Ningde mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Some Days No. 5 & 25 beobachtet, die im September 2008 für USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.315,82) versteigert wurde.
