Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2015 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work A Venetian Canal by Noël Bouvard. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,658.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Noël Bouvard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Veneitian backwaters, which sold at auction in November 2001 for GBP 8,812.50 (€ 14,023.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Venetian Canal von Noël Bouvard zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.658,19) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Noël Bouvard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Veneitian backwaters beobachtet, die im November 2001 für GBP 8.812,50 (€ 14.023,46) versteigert wurde.
