Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Old Masters, which included the work The Triumph of Galatea by Noël-Nicolas Coypel. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 75,000.00 (€ 68,418.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Noël-Nicolas Coypel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Venus And Her Companions in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 317,000.00 (€ 280,779.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Masters durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Triumph of Galatea von Noël-Nicolas Coypel zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 68.418,17) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Noël-Nicolas Coypel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Venus And Her Companions im Januar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 317.000,00 (€ 280.779,45).
