In May 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction The Irish Sale, which included the work The Seagull by Norah McGuinness. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 36,000.00 (€ 52,976.44), 44% above the upper estimate. Other works by Norah McGuinness have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 78,500.00 (€ 99,855.43) in May 2008 for the work The Harvesters.

Im Mai 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Irish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Seagull von Norah McGuinness zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 36.000,00 (€ 52.976,44) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Norah McGuinness haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 78.500,00 (€ 99.855,43) im Mai 2008 für die Arbeit The Harvesters beobachtet.
