It achieved a price of GBP 956.25 (€ 1,132.90), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Admittedly, works by Norman Edgar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The annual Glasgow Art Club, Picnic at Blairquhan in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,476.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Towards the Westkirk von Norman Edgar kam im Oktober 2021 bei Bonhams in Edinburgh zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 956,25 (€ 1.132,90) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Norman Edgar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The annual Glasgow Art Club, Picnic at Blairquhan im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.760,00 (€ 8.476,23).
