The »bidding war« ended at USD 43,750.00 (€ 36,770.89), 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oscar Bluemner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Illusion of a Prairie, New Jersey (Red Farm at Pochuck) in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 5,346,500.00 (€ 3,974,206.50).

Die Arbeit Belleville von Oscar Bluemner wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 36.770,89) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Oscar Bluemner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Illusion of a Prairie, New Jersey (Red Farm at Pochuck) im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.346.500,00 (€ 3.974.206,50).
