Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Boceto para "Las mujeres llorando" by Oswaldo Guayasamin was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2013. The price achieved of USD 47,500.00 (€ 36,572.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Oswaldo Guayasamin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Quito en rojo in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 314,500.00 (€ 218,767.39).

Die Arbeit Boceto para "Las mujeres llorando" von Oswaldo Guayasamin kam im Mai 2013 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 36.572,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oswaldo Guayasamin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Quito en rojo im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 314.500,00 (€ 218.767,39).
