In November 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin America: Modern Art, which included the work Oleronesa by Oswaldo Vigas. The result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,214.32) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Oswaldo Vigas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paraíso Inconcluso in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 221,000.00 (€ 209,240.67).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin America: Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Oleronesa von Oswaldo Vigas zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 25.214,32) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oswaldo Vigas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paraíso Inconcluso im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 221.000,00 (€ 209.240,67).
