The price achieved of GBP 7,170.00 (€ 11,600.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Otto Marseus van Schrieck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Forest Floor Still Life With Flowers, Mushrooms, Butterflies, A Snake, A Frog, And A Dragonfly in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 115,398.82).
