This artwork by Otto Marseus van Schrieck achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2020. In the Old Master Paintings auction, the work Forest Floor Still Life, With A Lizard, A Snake And Butterflies sold for GBP 12,600.00 (€ 13,893.55) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Otto Marseus van Schrieck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Forest Floor Still Life With Flowers, Mushrooms, Butterflies, A Snake, A Frog, And A Dragonfly in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 115,398.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Otto Marseus van Schrieck erzielte im September 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Paintings wurde die Arbeit Forest Floor Still Life, With A Lizard, A Snake And Butterflies für GBP 12.600,00 (€ 13.893,55) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Otto Marseus van Schrieck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Forest Floor Still Life With Flowers, Mushrooms, Butterflies, A Snake, A Frog, And A Dragonfly im Januar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 115.398,82).
