Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Femme couchée et deux visages, from Suite 156, 1970 by Pablo Picasso was sold in the Picassomania auction at Bonhams in London in May last year. The price achieved of GBP 2,295.00 (€ 2,699.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pablo Picasso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les femmes d'Alger (Version 'O') in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 179,365,000.00 (€ 163,148,080.77).
