Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work La cafetière by Pablo Picasso was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in London in February 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 1,811,250.00 (€ 2,099,242.86), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pablo Picasso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les femmes d'Alger (Version 'O') in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 179,365,000.00 (€ 163,148,080.77).
